Award Winning First Aid Classes across the UK

As seen on dragon's den

Mum of six, Kate Ball initially started Mini First Aid in 2014 from her kitchen table in Leeds, offering high quality baby & child first aid classes to parents and carers. Demand grew and Kate saw the potential for growth, so she started franchising the business in 2015. In 2021, BBC Dragon’s Den star Sara Davies, also saw the huge potential in Mini First Aid and she came on board as an investor and adviser. Mini First Aid is now a multi-award-winning organisation and has almost 70 franchises nationwide.

Saira Franklin

I’m Saira, a Devon-based Mum to a two-year old little girl. Whilst studying for my degree and masters degree in Clinical Psychology, I worked part time in an ice rink where I was involved in more first aid situations than I care to remember (as you can probably imagine!). It was that experience that really helped me understand just how important it was to know what to do in an emergency situation. I spent the last 4 years teaching babies and toddlers to swim and during that time I also gave birth to my tiny hooligan. I was a typical helicopter parent, hovering over her watching her breathing at night, cutting her food into tiny pieces, having to sit on my hands during the weaning months...and I realised I was being over cautious because I didn’t know what to do if something happened. I did the 2 hour course myself to give myself the knowledge and to give my daughter a Mum who knew what to do! I always think it’s better to know it and not need it than need it and not know it, which is why I am so proud to be able to offer this course and others to parents, carers and children in my local area. I can’t wait to empower you like Mini First Aid empowered me!
